United in the Community

United in the Community aims to connect with the local community

United in the Community is a charity organisation, established as a partner of Hereford FC since the 2015/16 season and is also the official player pathway for Hereford FC. With a team of FA qualified coaches, United in the Community aims to deliver and increase participation for all within the county, with an ultimate goal of supporting Hereford FC.

The Football Development Centre for U8s to U11s is seen as the platform for young players who want to develop their knowledge and understanding of the game, with the possible progression into the Academy teams.

Our Academy operates with teams from U12s to U16s, representing Hereford FC in the Junior Premier Leagues, with home fixtures being played at both Belmont Abbey and Victoria Park Training Ground.

We also have an U18s Performance team, many of whose graduates have gone on to the Hereford FC first team as well as Football League clubs. This is complemented by our U18s Development team which provides the additional opportunity of undertaking a Football Scholarship in the form of a two year BTEC Extended Diploma in Sports Science which is led by our Tutor, Adam Jones.

United in the Community also organises Soccer Schools during school holidays throughout Herefordshire, with recent courses in Hereford, Bromyard, Leominster and Ledbury. As well as school holidays, we work within term time providing schools with quality provision in PE and After School Clubs. The Soccer Schools and Schools Programme enable staff, coaches and scouts to recognise and identify local talent in order to enable youngsters to progress through to our Development Centre and possibly Academy teams.
